The Comme des Garcons x Vans Old Skool “Sidewall” is a special collaboration between the Japanese high fashion house and the California shoe manufacturer on the legendary Old Skool silhouette. The Old Skool, revered by the skateboarding community and beyond, is a foundational style in Vans’ collection of timeless canvas-and-rubber sneakers. Here, “CDG” keeps the original look of the Old Skool intact by moving forward with the model’s black suede toe and heel and black canvas mid-panel. White contrast stitching outlines each panel on the upper and a white jazzy leather stripe appears on either side of the shoe. Thick white laces are layered over the black nylon tongue. Underfoot, the white rubber vulcanized midsole features repeating Comme des Garcons branding. A gum waffle outsole provides ample grip.
